Start Lines & Divisions

Series can be configured with multiple start lines and divisions to handle fleets that race together but are scored separately.

Start Lines

A start line represents a group of boats that start together. By default, every series has one start line called "All Competitors".

Why Use Multiple Start Lines?

When your club runs multiple fleets simultaneously - for example, a fast fleet and a slow fleet starting at different times - you can define separate start lines. Each start line can have its own start time recorded independently during the race.

Adding Start Lines

When creating or editing a series: 1. In the start lines section, add a new start line 2. Give it a name (e.g. "Fast Fleet", "Slow Fleet") 3. Repeat for additional start lines

Each race entry is assigned to a start line, and start times are recorded per start line.

Divisions

Divisions allow you to create separate standings within a series. For example, you might have an overall series but also want separate results for "Dinghies" and "Catamarans".

Configuring Divisions

  1. When creating or editing a series, add divisions in the scoring configuration
  2. Name each division (e.g. "Monohull", "Multihull")
  3. When adding race entries, assign each entry to one or more divisions

Standings Mode

Choose how standings are displayed:
