RYA PY Online - Eligibility

Sailboat Racing integrates with the RYA's PY Online service, allowing you to submit your club's race data to help improve the national PY handicap numbers.

What Is PY Online?

PY Online is the RYA's system for collecting race data from clubs across the UK. This data is used to review and update the official Portsmouth Yardstick numbers each year. Contributing your data helps keep PY numbers accurate for all clubs.

Which Series Are Eligible?

A series can be submitted to PY Online if it meets both criteria:

  1. Handicap system: The series uses the PY handicap system
  2. Timing mode: The series uses Corrected Time scoring

Series using other handicap systems (IRC, ASY, etc.) or elapsed time scoring are not eligible for PY Online submission.

Viewing Eligible Series

  1. Go to PY Return in the sidebar
  2. Use the year filter to select the season
  3. Only eligible series are listed
